My name is Kai Hoyt. I was born in Exeter, NH on August 4th, 1991. My parents and I moved to Seattle, WA when I was two years old.
At a very young age I gained an interest in participating in sports and sports culture. I attended Roosevelt High School in Seattle where I played four years of basketball and baseball.
I visited PLU in 2010 on a basketball recruiting trip where I instantly fell in love with the community, the academics, the atmosphere, and my future team. I am currently in my senior year at PLU where I will graduate this December.
I love food, hiking, and deep conversations. I am a Mariners, Seahawks, and ex-Sonics fan (still upset that they're gone).

I like to live on the edge. The picture on the right is an abandoned bridge on Lake Washington in Northeast Seattle. It's a popular spot for summer bridge jumping, which happens to be one of my hobbies. My brother and I are currently planning a camping/cliff jumping trip to Southern Oregon next month.
Beth's Cafe is my favorite restaurant ever!! Beth's is an American diner located near Greenlake park in North Seattle. The 24 hour restaurant serves a famous "12-egg omelette" that appeared on the Food Network's Man vs. Food. It is by far the best omelette ever and my breakfast of choice. The cinnamon roll is to die for and the sandwiches are excellent as well.
Breaking Bad is my favorite show. The show is written to perfection and Brian Cranston and Aaron Paul are spectacular. The train heist episode is my favorite. Here is a clip from the end of that episode.
I think that it is really cool that your hobby is bridge jumping, probably because I would never do that myself since I'm too chicken but it seems like it would be pretty awesome! I also agree that Breaking Bad was one of the best shows ever. Every episode literally blew my mind, loved it.
ReplyDeleteBridge jumping is the best! Growing up in the country that was one of the main forms of entertainment in my youth.
ReplyDeleteThis particular scene from Breaking Bad is by far my favorite, it's so stressful and perfectly executed.
